GdF, Dalkia eye privatisation of Sofia steam heating utiulity

France's utility operators Gaz de France and Dalkia are interested in the forthcoming privatisation of Sofia's steam heating company "Toplofikatsiya", minister of industry Traicho Traikov said Tuesday.

Traikov told reporters in Sofia he discussed the issue with GdF and Dalkia officials in Paris on Monday. He was accompanying prime minister Boiko Borisov on a state visit to France.

Debt-ridden Toplofikatsiya provides service for more than 400,000 households in Bulgaria's 1.5-million capital.  more...
